Start Up Nation

Israel is a tiny country with a population of a mere 8 million, boasts the largest concentrations of startups in the world. Every year in Israel, there are about 5,000 new start-ups. In Europe for example, only 600 to 700 new start-ups established every year. The number of Israeli patents record is among the highest in the world (relative to its population size). The High-Tech fields in which Israel is more dominant are: medical equipment, military and security equipment, the mobile industry and agriculture. These businesses account for increased job employment and well as unprecedented growth and earnings.

“How is it that Israel-- a country of 7.1 million, only 60 years old, surrounded by enemies, in a constant state of war since its founding, with no natural resources-- produces more start-up companies than large, peaceful, and stable nations like Japan, China, India, Korea, Canada and the UK?”
